Co-organised by the West Kowloon Cultural District and Kowloon City District Council, and programme partner 1a space, “Kowloon City Art Festival @ West Kowloon” is a community engagement event to be held on 23-24 February 2019 at the Art Park of West Kowloon Cultural District.
This free event with lots of activities will feature six components ranging from “Large-scale Eco-friendly Installation and Open Stage”, “Public Art Exhibition”, “Parent-child Interactive Workshop”, “Art Market”, photo exhibition “The Past and the Future of Kowloon City", and “Mini-Artbook Fair”.
Join us on the Art Park lawns and experience the vitality of Kowloon City District and West Kowloon!

Guided Tour: History and Culture of Kowloon City
Tour around the festival and share heritage and community stories of Kowloon City District and the urban development of Hong Kong in this 45-minute guided tour.

Outdoor Yoga
Looking for new ways to connect with your children or partner? Join us for an outdoor partner yoga workshop supported by Yoga GOM and learn simple yoga poses for two while you take in the beautiful scenery of the Art Park and the refreshing sea breeze.

(A) Kids & Parent Yoga
Build mindful family relationship with yoga practice and games designed for kids and parent interaction
Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Target: Parents and ages 3 or above
(B) Yin-Yang Yoga
Start the “Yang” side practice with sun salutation and standing postures to warm your body up in the first half, the second half of the class is more “Yin” in nature so that we can spend some good time observing the subtle changes happening to our body during different Asana practices.
Time: 3pm – 4pm
Target: Healthy adults of 18+
(C ) Partner Yoga
Through the practice of Yoga Postures and breathing exercise, we are going to have a better understanding of our own body and that of our partners. The practice can also promote better and closer relationship between the two.

Participants are required to bring their own yoga mats, towels and water bottles. Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate for movement.
No changing room and shower facilities are available on site.
No cloakroom service is available. Please take care of your personal belongings.
Parents should take good care of your kids for safety reason. Participants must ensure they are medically and physically fit to participate in the workshop. Participants are responsible for their own physical condition and that of their kids. Please do not hesitate to communicate with the teacher in case of doubt or experiencing any discomfort.
All participants or their parents should sign the Waiver of Liability and Declaration.

1. Nine Books for the Nine Dragon City - Mini-exhibition of books on wheels
With the rich diversity of the Kowloon City District, we have selected nine fascinating book titles to connect you to the district.
(Exhibition materials mainly in Chinese)

2. Murderers on the run - Running-Reading session
An innovative running-reading event supported by Rolling Books and Run of Page. Participants, together with the running coaches, will join a city orienteering game simulation setting in the West Kowloon Cultural District with HIIT training. It will be followed by a reading session to read books about detective stories.

Target: Ages 15 or above

3. I am a Baker - Parent-child theatre workshop
A tradition cake shop in Kowloon City District finds it difficult to recruit young bakers. Through a simple acting training class, kids learn more about the story of bread and birthday cakes, echoing with the taste bud memories of their parents.
