Talent Wanted - Administration Officer

1a space is now inviting applicants for the position of Administration Officer (Full-time, 12 months), which aims to perform competently in the changing arts and cultural environment, and will be introduced to various aspects of arts administration and covering key knowledge and specialized areas required of arts administrators.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in general administrative and supporting duties of 1a space

• Assist in conducting research, planning and coordination on programming related tasks

• Liaise with different parties involved in exhibitions, events and guided tour

• Develop and implement marketing strategies and promotional campaign for the gallery, exhibition and related cultural programs

• Assist with the installation planning and dismantlement arrangement of exhibitions and the on-site assistance of special events

• Assist to invigilate exhibitions and events of the gallery

• Provide a welcoming environment for visitors

• Maintain knowledge and sensitivity of the ever-shifting digital landscape

Requirements:

• Hong Kong residents aged 18 or above with fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English

• Possess a recognised university degree preferably in fine arts, design, Arts & Humanities or related disciplines within the last 3 years

• Creative and strong passion in contemporary arts

• A team player motivated to work in a creative environment with strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

• Knowledge in digital equipment set up and photographic techniques is an advantage

• Experienced in digital marketing and social marketing is an advantage

• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Video editing is an advantage

• Required to work at flexible hours or on Saturday, Sunday or public holidays for operational needs

• Preferably have 1-2 years of relevant experience in arts and culture. Immediately available preferred
